So, maybe you have to mop. That's OK! Yes, mopping requires water, but you don't have to use or waste a lot of it. You can cut down on water use by first broom sweeping, dry-mopping or vacuuming floors that need regular cleaning. When you absolutley must, use a bucket and mop instead of a hose to flood the floor. A typical 1/2" garden hose can put out as much as 9 gallons of water per minute! If your hose has a larger diameter, it's even more than that. Most commercial mop buckets have a capacity that is less than 9 gallons. Invest in a heavy duty bucket and a launderable mop head, and watch your water bill start to drip...uh, make that drop! |
