Using version #2.

According to the EPA, pesticides "can cause harm to humans, animals, or the environment because they are designed to kill or otherwise adversely affect living organisms". Perhaps you should think before you spray, no? Luckily there are a slew of methods to control pests that do not involve nasty chemicals that can't discriminate between roaches and humans. From simple traps to hopefully-obvious sanitation practices, you can and should control pests without exposing your staff, your patrons and YOU to products that have devastating side effects on health and the environment. Talk to your exterminator about integrated pest management (IPM) - ecologically sound means of controlling pests - and make it clear that you want safe, effective methods that impact only the unwanted critters. There are many exterminators who are experienced and enthusiastic about IPM. If yours isn't, perhaps he is an unwanted pest, too. |
